You retain the client relationship. DonorAssured does the specialist IT3(d) filing and Section 18A certificates for your non-profit clients. You send us the client's donation records, the same way an organisation would. We check them, file the twice-yearly return and send the certificates back to you to pass on. Your client deals with you throughout.
The IT3(d) is third-party data, not a tax return. It has its own specification, its own submission windows and its own rejection codes, and SARS expects it from every Section 18A-approved organisation. Learning it for two or three clients is a poor use of a practice's season. We file them every season.
SARS's third-party data specification, not eFiling. We prepare each client's return to it and file in the window, and you never touch a SARS file format.
One window after March to August, one after September to February. We track the dates, remind you ahead of each, and tell you when each client's records are due.
A Section 18A certificate per donor, worded to Public Notice 3082, with the client's logo, PBO details and authorised signatory. Numbered, so each one reconciles to the return.
Every record is checked first. Problems come back as a short list, by row. Nothing is corrected silently and nothing goes to SARS until the list is empty and it has been approved.
What was filed, what SARS accepted, which certificates were issued and which were re-issued after a correction. One set of papers per filing, per client.
We do the IT3(d) and the certificates for your client, and nothing else. The engagement, the fees for everything else and the relationship stay where they are: with you.
Your client deals with you. We deal with you. Nothing goes to the client except through you.
We go through your list of PBO and NPO clients once. After that each client's filing runs exactly as it would for an organisation that came to us directly, except that the records come from you and everything goes back to you.
Which organisations, and roughly how many donors each. We come back with a quote per organisation and the template.
YouOur template, one per organisation, filled in from the client's donation records, with the organisation's details and logo. Exactly what an organisation would send us itself. We confirm receipt the same day.
YouProblems come back to you as a list, by row. Once the records are clean and you've signed off, we file the IT3(d) in the window and tell you what SARS accepted.
Us, then you, then usA Section 18A certificate for each of the client's donors, numbered and ready for you to pass on, and a record of the filing for your working papers.
UsNothing is fixed quietly.
You sign off a client's accounts. You should know exactly what went to SARS in their name. If a record is wrong, you hear about it, by row, before anything is filed. If SARS queries one, you hear about that too, in plain language rather than a code.
Filings a year per client, in SARS's submission windows, each one tracked and reminded
Conversation to set up your whole PBO/NPO list, and one contact for all of them afterwards
SARS file formats, systems or logins for you or your client to learn. A spreadsheet and an email address are enough
Anything else, email info@donorassured.co.za or WhatsApp us, and a person will answer.
Tax A Sured (Pty) Ltd, a registered tax practice, files the IT3(d) as the submitting entity for the organisation. Your practice's SARS profile and eFiling access are not involved, and neither are the client's.
The same way as for an organisation that comes to us directly, except that the records come from you. You send the client's donation records in our template, the problems list comes to you, you approve, we file, and the certificates and filing record go back to you to pass on. Your client deals with you throughout, not with us.
Yes, and that is the point of the discussion. We go through your list and set the reminders for each organisation ahead of each window. Each client gets its own return, its own certificates and its own filing record, all sent to you.
Our spreadsheet template, filled in: the organisation's details (registered name, PBO reference, tax reference, contact details and signatory) and one row per donation (date, amount, donor's name, ID or registration number and contact details). Plus the client's logo for the certificates. You fill it in from the client's donation records, the same template an organisation would fill in itself.
We tell you what SARS said in plain language, the record is fixed, and we re-file it as a correction. Certificates keep their numbers, and if any certificate changed you get a note saying which ones need re-sending.
It's quoted per filing, per organisation, based on how many donors and donations each one has. Give us the list and roughly how many donations each receives a year, and we'll send a quote for each. No subscriptions, no software licences.
Tell us about your practice and the organisations you look after. We'll set up a call, go through the list with you, and come back with a quote per client and the template.
